The Esrum-Tisvildevejen pilgrim trail is a marked 100 km hiking route from Esrum Kloster to Tisvildeleje.

About this trail

There are two route options: a shorter 58 km version and a longer 77 km version. The entire route is divided into four stages: Esrum to Mårum, Mårum to Annisse, Annisse to Ramløse, and Ramløse to Tisvilde.

The Esrum-Tisvildevejen trail takes you through some of North Zealand’s most stunning landscapes, passing through a variety of natural habitats and cultural-historical sites. Gribskov, Denmark’s largest forest, is a highlight—its diverse terrain and rich ecosystems make it a must-see. The route also winds past several lakes, including Esrum Sø, Solbjerg Engsø, Alsønderup Engsø, Arresø, and Holløse Bredning, each offering unique scenery and tranquility.

This trail was developed in collaboration with Gribskov Kommune, Museum Nordsjælland, Naturstyrelsen, and the Esrum-Tisvildevejen pilgrim trail association.
